Vegan Chocolate Tart

 

The traditional chocolate tart is a classic of the French gastronomy, using short crust dough with a rich cream chocolate filling. Truly one of Antoine's favourite! Now endeavoring to live healthier and leaner, this classic had to be revisited so that Antoine could enjoy it as frequently as he used to. This is where our Vegan Chocolate Tart recipe comes into play.

 

Fully Vegan, Gluten-Free and Raw, this chocolate tart is a nutrient blast in the wrapping of delicious treat. And it is so easy and quick to make! Try it, it is truly magic.

*** The ingredients are given for two 8-inch tart ***

INGREDIENTS

For the crust

  • 140g of any unsalted roasted nuts

  • 60g of coconut flakes

  • 60g of maple syrup

  • 4 tbsp of chia seeds

For the chocolate filling

  • 400g of avocado flesh

  • 120g of maple syrup

  • 40g of coconut oil

  • 80g of cocoa powder

  • Liquid vanilla

  • Raspberries

  • Mint leaves

 
DIRECTIONS

 

  1. In a food processor or a blender, put the crust ingredients (nuts, coconut flakes & maple syrup, chia seeds) and mix until the whole is gathering in lumps. Pour the crust in a 8-inch tart pan and using your hand press the crust to the bottom of the pan covering all the surface and edges.

  2. Note that the crust or the filling can be reused for any other recipes like chocolate eclair or apple tart.  

  3. In a food processor or a blender, put the avocado flesh, maple syrup, coconut oil, cocoa powder and liquid vanilla to your taste. Mix until the whole is homogeneous. Using a spatula pour the filling on top of the crust and spread it to cover the whole crust. Put a plastic film over the tart and put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

  4. Once out of the fridge, cut yourself a slice, plate it, top it with some mint leaves and raspberries and enjoy !
