Pineapple Orange

Nothing beats fresh when it comes to juices. If you have the chance to have at home either a blender or a juicer (be it a mechanical or a centrifugal or a masticating one), making your own juices directly from the vegetables and fruits is so rewarding. You are accessing flavors that you would have never been able to get close to with industrial juices. And for a reasonable price ! Give this basic a try as your first step into the juicing world!

This recipe yields around two liters of juice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Victoria pineapple

  • 9 Florida oranges

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel your pineapple and cut into chunks small enough to be processed by your blender/juicer.

  2. Peel your oranges and cut them also into chunks small enough to be processed by your blender/juicer.

  3. If you use a juicer, process the fruits chunks through it. Depending on whether or not you love pulp, use a sieve to remove the pulp.

  4. If you use a blender, blend the fruits chunks and using a cheese cloth extract the juice from the blend. You will obtain a pulp free juice.

  5. Pour into a jug and refrigerate. If you used a mechanical or masticating juicer, your juice can be kept in the fridge for up to 72 hours. If you used a blender or a centrifugal juicer, aim at drinking your juice in the next 24 hours. Enjoy!
