Keep The Beet

 

Beetroot is a fantastic root vegetable. You can eat both the root or the greens. Both parts are filled with vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients. It is ideal to eat beetroot raw as you will keep all its fantastic properties.  By juicing it, you will extract a pure cocktail of goodness for your body and feel the energy flowing all the day. If possible always juice the whole beetroot (root and leaves).

 

With Keep The Beet, you will discover the earthy and sweet taste of the beetroot. This recipe yields around one liter of juice.

 

INGREDIENTS
 
  • 1 Cups of Spinach

  • 3 Apples

  • 6 Carrots

  • 4 Sticks of Celery

  • 1 Large Lemon

  • 1 Large Beet

  • A Large nub of ginger

DIRECTIONS

 

  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients for the juicer (peel the lemon as you don't want the white part of the skin to be juiced as it would bring overwhelming bitterness, dice finely the ginger (packed with fibers it can easily clog a masticating juicer), cut the rest in pieces fitting your juicer).

  2. Add ingredients to your juicer to extract the juice. Take turn feeding your juicer with different types of food (full of fibers like ginger; carrots or beetroot, soft and juicy like lemon, greens, fleshy and juicy like apples... and start again from the ginger) in order to maximize the juice yield and avoid clogging your juicer.

  3. Strain the juice if you do not want pulp.

  4. Pour into a beautiful glass, Enjoy!
