Always looking for new flavors, Cavita decided one day that Lady Smoked Salmon was destined to go on a cruise with Sir Guacamole on a Toasted Bread sailboat. Antoine was lucky enough that they reached his port and mesmerized his taste buds. The creaminess of the guacamole is a perfect supplement to the sharpness of the smoked salmon, the toasted bread bringing the well-needed crusty texture. A gourmet snack to enjoy with a Nova Scotian glass of white wine!

 

The ingredients are given for four snacks.

 

INGREDIENTS
 
  • 2 small crusty bread

  • 1 avocado, ripe

  • 1/2 white onion, chopped finely

  • 1/2 chili pepper, de-seeded and chopped finely

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • 4 slices of smoked salmon

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

 
DIRECTIONS

 

  1. Slice your bread in two and toast them on the loaf side.

  2. Slice your avocado in two and spoon the flesh out in a bowl. Peel and chop finely half a white onion. Add the onion to the avocado. Wash, de-seed and chop finely half a chili pepper and add to the bowl. Juice half a lemon in the bowl. Using a fork, smash the mix until it is homogeneous. Add salt and black pepper to your taste. Here is Sir Guacamole!

  3. Spread on top of the bread into halves the guacamole. Add on top of each toast, one slice of smoked salmon, salt, and black pepper. Keep in the fridge (filming the plate) until it is time for you to enjoy your well-deserved healthy snack!
